Pay As You Go Workers' Comp
Workers' comp that bills on what you actually paid.
Traditional workers' comp asks you to estimate a year of payroll, pay a deposit against that guess, and then
settle up at audit — usually with a bill you didn't budget for.
Pay-as-you-go replaces the guess with the
actual number.
How it works
Every time we run your payroll, the system calculates your comp premium on the wages you actually paid
that period, by class code, and drafts it automatically.
That's it.
There is nothing for you to submit, calculate,
or remember.
What changes for you
Your cash flow improves.

No large deposit premium tying up working capital at the start of the policy year.
The audit surprise goes away.

You've been paying actual premium all year, so there's nothing meaningful to true up.
Your books are right all year.

Comp expense reflects reality every month instead of an estimate that gets corrected in month thirteen. Your CPA will notice.
The audit stops being your problem.

We complete your audit and your pre-renewal questionnaires from payroll data we already hold. In most years, the first you hear about it is us telling you it's done.
Why this only works when payroll and comp live together
Pay-as-you-go requires the comp premium to be calculated inside the payroll run.
If your payroll company and your comp agent are two different businesses, someone has to move that data between them every pay period — which is exactly the manual work that pay-as-you-go is supposed to eliminate.

We are both, so there is nothing to move.
Carriers and class codes
We place pay-as-you-go coverage through E-Comp, a general agency with access to a wide range of
carriers.

That gives us a broad appetite across class codes — though not every class is eligible.

Fastest way to find out is to ask.

Not every employer is a fit for pay-as-you-go, and we'll tell you if you aren't.
Eligibility depends on class code, loss history, and carrier appetite.
